How we create lightweight vehicles:

At LMC, we rely on high-tech materials that are both robust and lightweight.

By using light materials such as poplar wood and plywood in the form of sandwich panels, we successfully reduce weight while maintaining exceptional stability. Some of our furniture components feature honeycomb panels, which provide additional weight savings. Please note that the choice of materials depends on the specific model range, meaning not every material is used across all series.

Our GRP roof is another example of innovative lightweight design. By precisely adjusting the fiber composition, we have created a structure that combines low weight with outstanding strength and durability. Instead of plywood panelling around the windows, we now partly use felt, which is not only lighter but also adds functional benefits. In some model ranges, even frame extensions feature weight-reducing holes, saving every gram without compromising stability.
